Sony - From Bad to Worse

2014 - Not so good for Sony

Sony Pictures was hacked last November by a group of hackers called Guardians of Peace.
The group didn't just breach the security and exposed the vulnerability of tech giant, they also acquired some big amount of data (estimated as approximately 11,000 GB of files).
Sony was threatened by attackers that if they didn't agree with the demands, sensitive data will be released by them into internet.

It is not the first time Sony has been attacked technically on last November. Earlier they were attacked by DerpTrolling. DerpTrolling went on revealing thousands of user details into internet.
This year has been really bad to Sony. Their stocks were down. Their e-book section was shut down last February. Their play-station network was attacked last August by Distributed Denial of Service attacks.

Although Guardians of Peace claimed that they made the attack on Sony Pictures recently, it is widely believed that North Korea was involved in this attack.
Sony Pictures was about to release a movie called "The Interview" which has a story-line related to Kim Jong-un, the North Korean leader.
No matter who initiated the attack, North Koreans or the Guardians of Peace, it is one of the devastating security breaches this year.

2014 is not over yet, so as sony's worries. Now the employees of Sony are getting threats from the Guardians of Peace.
They threat the employees that not only them, but the life of their family will also be in danger if they didn't agree that what their employer do is wrong.

Sony has not responded for the threat to its employees. But no matter what they say, this year can't get any worse for them :/
